Jessica Crandall is the founder and General Manager at Denver Wellness and Nutrition Center-Sodexo, where she has grown a team of dietitians who focus on fulfilling the diverse nutritional needs of the community through contract services. She provides contracts services to physician and hospital based outpatient programs providing them program development for nutritional counseling services based on their client needs. She has started 32 clinics throughout the Denver area. Some of the programs she has started include; weight loss clinics, bariatric programs, three locations of certified diabetes programs, ALS clinic, kidney and liver transplant program, oncology centers, practice for gastroenterology for adults and kids as well as prevention and cardiovascular disease clinics. She is passionate about providing onsite counseling and wellness to worksite wellness and believes in helping consumers navigate the nutritional maze towards a healthier life in an atmosphere that is comfortable for them and conductive to learning- no matter the setting.
As a Registered Dietitian, Jessica’s passion lies in nutritional counseling in weight management, sports nutrition, bariatric education, diabetes prevention and management, cardiac diet modification, family meal times and she also works with children with special nutritional needs. On top of all of this Jessica is also a Certified Diabetes Educator and an AAFA certified Group Fitness Instructor. She is also currently named a National Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition And Dietetics for the past 6 years.
Jessica earned her Bachelor's degree at Colorado State University and completed her postgraduate work in Oneonta, New York with rotations at Rose Medical Center, through which she is accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Jessica’s accolades include being named 2009 Colorado Dietitian of the Year which lead to her serving as Colorado Dietetic President Elect in 2009 and President of Colorado Dietetics Association in 2010. She is a strong supporter of public policy for dietitians and their professional development.
She has contributed to many national Sodexo projects including; the Mindful initiative, Core4 virtual weight loss program content, grocery store video demos, exercise videos, national reimbursement training for Registered Dietitians, healthy eating app development, cooking demos, corporate and campus wellness events as well as health fair lunch and learn presentations.
She frequently is asked to speak for a variety of media outlets including weekly segments on Fox News and Channel 9 NBC News. She has been quoted in numerous media outlets including; Wall Street Journal, Opera, WebMD, Prevention, Shape, Weight Watchers, Men's Fitness, Readers Digest, and Martha Stewart Whole Living Magazines and is recognized by many as an expert resource regarding nutrition and health for many media outlets.
